Before you leave home, check to make sure you have everything you need for the day (backpack, books, lunch, homework, assignment book and a good mood).

At your locker before classes (Top of PageHome)
Before going to class, stop at your locker to check that you have everything you need. Students who avoid tardiness bring materials for several classes at once, keeping locker stops to a minimum.

Contribute and ask appropriate questions. Classes have more value and go faster when you're involved rather than a spectator. Before leaving, record your assignments and due dates. Be sure you have it exactly right. At your locker after classes, before going home at the end of the day, check your assignment book and be sure you have everything you need to complete your homework.

Try to study at the same time and make it a pattern each day. A time soon after school is best for memory and to enjoy the remainder of your evening. Work put off suffers in quality. Plan five minute breaks after 20 minute study blocks to increase retention. Written assignments done neatly improve grades.

Choose clothes the evening before and leave all school materials in the same place every single day. Get an alarm clock, a loud one, and set it just a little too early. Please have breakfast.
